Day 1: Exploration, adrenaline, and relaxation
At 7:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin an exciting journey to Santa Teresa. Along the way, we will pass through the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas, enjoying breathtaking Andean landscapes. Then, we will cross the Abra Málaga, an imposing snow-capped mountain that marks the transition between the Andes and the jungle. As we descend into the La Convención Valley, we will pass through Santa María, where we will start our first adventure activity.
Our first stop will be the Vilca Valle base camp, where we will experience the thrill of rafting in the river for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Guided by experts, we will navigate crystal-clear waters and exhilarating rapids until reaching the final point near Quillabamba. After this adrenaline-filled experience, we will return to Santa María and continue our journey to Santa Teresa.
Upon arrival, we will enjoy a traditional lunch featuring the typical flavors of the region before settling into our tourist accommodation. Later, we will head to the Cocalmayo thermal medicinal baths, where we will spend approximately 2 hours soaking in the warm, mineral-rich waters—perfect for relaxing the body after a day of adventure. Finally, we will return to Santa Teresa, where we will enjoy a delicious dinner and rest, preparing for the next day of excitement.
