Cocalmayo – Machupicchu 2D/1N

Day 1: Adventure and Relaxation in Santa Teresa

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin our journey to Santa Teresa, a trip of approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes, crossing the Abra Málaga pass and stopping at the Carrizales viewpoint. We will arrive in Santa Teresa around 12:00 PM, where we will settle into our “Santa Teresa” lodging.

After check-in, we will head to our restaurant to enjoy a local lunch. In the afternoon, we will experience the thrill of ziplining, an exciting activity that lasts 2 hours. Later, at 4:00 PM, we will take a 15-minute flat walk to the Cocalmayo thermal medicinal baths, appreciating the lush vegetation, towering mountains, and the Vilcanota River along the way. After indulging in relaxation and adventure, we will return to Santa Teresa for a delicious dinner and spend the night at our lodging.

Day 2: Machu Picchu Exploration

We will start the day with breakfast at 7:00 AM, then take transport from Santa Teresa to Hidroelectrica. From there, we will embark on a 3-hour hike to Aguas Calientes, where we will head to the CONCETUR bus station to board our tourist bus to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival, we will enjoy a guided tour led by a professional Machu Picchu guide, exploring the wonders of this ancient site for approximately 3 hours. After the tour, we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then take the train back to Ollantaytambo. Finally, we will continue our journey back to Cusco, with an estimated arrival time of 8:00 PM.
